The Indonesian proverb once said, "Tuntutlah ilmu sampai ke negri Cina (Seek knowledge to the land of China)", so Randy and Oliv were set to get better education abroad. In a surprising twist of fate, they found not only knowledge, but also each other. Their journey began with the same education consultant, which led to their first meeting at the airport and together they went to China in 2014. Oliv started to miss her family members, and Randy's presence soothed her, as he resembles her younger brother (Budi). They grew closer and spent more time together. Oliv often called Randy "babe babe" in a joking tone,
and Randy often took Oliv for walks, exercise, and even running near the school lake (Yes, running is one of Oliv's favorite activities)
 

One day, as they walked back to their dorm after dinner, Randy expressed his love to Oliv. Their love story officially started on July 16, 2015. Seven years later, their love remains as strong as ever, if not more. It was a journey full of ups and downs, as they navigate their way in adjusting to a long distance relationship, until they were reunited again in Jakarta. Through all this, they remained committed to one another and communicated frequently, which helped them develop an even stronger bond and love for one another.

On January 2022, Randy finally asked Oliv's parents for her hands in marriage.

And here they are...

They decided to always #RANningtOLIV for the rest of their lives, just like a pair of chopsticks, as they support each other and build a loving family together.
